COVID-19 HEALTH MEASUREMENTS DURING THE RETREAT

We acknowledge the complications of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and we’re fully committed to doing our best to ensure that our guests can travel and enjoy their retreat with confidence. Our team has been following closely the European developments regarding the Coronavirus outbreak since its beginning and we’re fully aware of and abide by the health protocols that the Spanish Health & Tourism ministry has announced.

If you are joining our retreat and you are coming from a different country, you can find here the latest travel health information you need to follow if you want to travel to Spain. Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or for further information. 

Please take a moment to read the following measures we are going to implement during the retreat:

Covid-19 measures - Retreat with safety

We have implemented precautionary measures in order to ensure a safe and relaxing experience for you. San Vicente de la Barquera is surrounded by nature, the ocean and mountains which will give us space and privacy during these uncertain times. The majority of our retreat time is spent outdoors and in nature.

Cleaning/Disinfection – Common Areas

All our common areas such as living & dining room, bathrooms, kitchen & yoga area will be disinfected and cleaned on a daily basis. Hand towels in the bathrooms will be changed and washed once per day.

Health Protection

We will provide face masks, hand sanitizers and disinfectant. It will be placed in our communal area to be available for you at any time.

Room Cleaning – Laundry Service

Your Room will be fully cleaned once during the retreat to avoid frequent interactions between you and our housekeeping staff. Furthermore, we will change the bedsheets and towels once during the retreat.

Housekeeping and kitchen staff

Our housekeeping and kitchen staff will be wearing masks and gloves when on duty.

Yoga / Surf Classes

You will be given your personal yoga mat and block on the first day, which you will use for the entire week. But we recommend you to bring your own mat.
The yoga area and all the equipment will be cleaned and disinfected after every class.
At the surf school you will get a wetsuit and surf gear which you will use for all surf classes. After every class, the wetsuits und surf equipment will be thoroughly washed and disinfected.

Guest Responsibility

Even if we see it as our duty to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, we ask you to take the appropriate hygiene measures. Such as good hygiene, following the social distancing rules and preventive hygiene measures according to local guidance.
Furthermore, you agree to take all the necessary precautions & measures before traveling to Cantabria. If you travel to Spain by plain, you must show a certificate with a negative AIDT result (PCR test) carried out in the 72h prior to your arrival. We also suggest you to do an antigen test before coming to the retreat if you travel within Spain.
If you are feeling sick or if you have experienced symptoms of illness the last few days prior to the start of our retreat, we kindly ask you to stay at home.
We reserve the right to restrict guests from joining our retreat that display any symptoms of COVID-19 or have a measured body temperature higher than 37.4C to protect the health and safety of our other guests and staff.

FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION & PAYMENT POLICY DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

We are aware that many of you might feel doubtful about booking your stay with us due to the restrictions and travel warnings in your countries.
Therefore, we have implemented an exceptional cancellation policy to provide you with increased flexibility and freedom in order to your personal decision even if there are no lockdowns.
Taking everything into account, remember you will lose the deposit if you decide to cancel for personal reasons.
Please, read below our Regular Cancellation Policy.

Regular Cancellation Policy:

• Up to 2 months before the retreat, you can cancel at any time – 100% refund
• Up to 1 month prior the start of the retreat - 50% refund (loss of deposit)
• Less than 1 month prior to the start of the retreat - no refund
To cancel a retreat from the site of My Serendipity Retreats will always be the last option. Although, if My Serendipity Retreats has to cancel a planned retreat due to low bookings or any other deciding reason, you will get full refund of your payment or you’re entitled to transfer your full payment to another scheduled retreat.
It is not the responsibility of My Serendipity Retreats of your expenses regarding your preparation to join our retreat, such as travel costs, accommodation as part of your trip, or any other costs.

** Flexible Cancellation Policy due to Covid-19:

You will get Full Refund anytime:

• Cancellations in consequence of travel restrictions through Europe or through Spain.
• Cancellations in consequence of continuing lockdowns.
• Cancellation on the part of ‘My Serendipity’.
Due to Covid sickness and not being able to attend to the retreat, if you certificate a positive result of a PCR Test up to 15 days prior to the start of the retreat, you will get 50% refund of the total amount (loss of deposit).

Payment policy

50% of the retreat's cost is required at the time of booking to secure your place with the balance to be paid no less than 4 weeks prior to trip departure.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Travel Insurance

Our Guests must have a corresponding travel insurance which cover our retreat activities, such as the sport activities or any other activities.
Please make sure, that your regular health insurance in your country of residence will cover trips inside Europe or overseas, as the retreats of My Serendipity Retreats take part in several destinations.
It is your responsibility to organize a corresponding health and travel insurance.
Joining the retreat / booking the retreat, you confirm that My Serendipity Retreats is not in charge of providing insurance products and cannot be held liable if you did not arrange a suitable insurance, which leaves you exposed, medically, financially or otherwise.

Force Majeure

In such force majeure events, no refund shall be granted. My Serendipity Retreats will try with the best effort to organize other activities (sport, cultural, gastronomic) in case of cancelled activities due to force majeure.

Passports, Visas and Documents

It is the responsibility of each participant to obtain a valid passport, visa(s) and necessary certificates for any country to be visited in connection with My Serendipity Retreats

Photo / Video Release Form

You hereby grant to My Serendipity Retreats the right and permission to use photographic material & video in which you are featured and are taken during the courses of the retreat. My Serendipity Retreats holds the right to use / republish / copyright, etc. this material for advertising and promotional purposes. You hereby release and discharge My Serendipity Retreats from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs and video footage, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
By booking into a retreat, you hereby certify that you have read and fully understood the present Terms & Conditions, and you are fully aware that there is a release of liability included, you accept all Terms & Conditions, and you agree of your own free will to all Terms & Conditions and applicable policies above. If you do not agree to the before mentioned Terms & Conditions, you are not permitted to participate in any My Serendipity Retreats activity.
